LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST

Ayyo, I'm Raechel :)

There are about a million different ways to be human, yet somehow we're all expected to figure out this whole life thing without an instruction manual.

We all have our own stories, experiences, relationships, quirks, and ways of navigating this wonderfully messy life. But underneath all those differences, most of us are looking for the same things: to feel seen, understood, and connected with ourselves and within the world around us.

I want therapy to be a place where you can show up as your whole, beautifully imperfect self. No need to have it all figured out. I certainly don't! Together, we'll explore your experiences, relationships, and patterns that shape how you connect with yourself, others, and the world around you.

Therapist Raechel is...

Attuned

Working in vet med taught me to pay attention to the little things. Animals aren't exactly going to sit down and tell you about their feelings (though I'm sure they'd have a lot to say if they could!). I learned to notice the subtle shifts, body language, and unspoken cues. Turns out, that comes in pretty handy when working with humans, too.

Curious

Instead of asking, “What's wrong with me?” we get curious about “Huh, I wonder why I do that?” Because even our weirdest patterns usually have a story to tell.

Connected

No robotic nodding or mysterious therapist silence here! Although, I might get quiet now and then because my brain sometimes needs an extra minute to process (hey, I'm human too!). I'm engaged, curious, and genuinely invested in getting to know you—the whole, wonderfully complicated human that you are.

Compassion

Change doesn’t require treating yourself like a problem. We can understand what hurts, what protects, and what needs care without shame.

Engaged

I'm not a blank slate or someone who just sits back and observes. I'm an active part of our conversations, bringing my thoughts, curiosity, and genuine reactions into the room. I'll share what I notice, ask questions, and sometimes challenge you to look at things a little differently. We're figuring things out together, and I'm right there with you.

Human

Plot twist: therapists are human, too! I've got my own quirks, messy moments, and things I'm still figuring out. Therapy isn't about being perfectly regulated or having it all together. There's room for being complicated, imperfect, and wonderfully human—for both of us!

Individuality

No single approach fits every person. The therapy should fit the human—not the other way around.

ABOUT RAECHEL

Everything Is a Relationship. Yep, Everything.

We're constantly learning through our relationships, with people, animals, our environments, and the world around us. These experiences shape how we understand love, safety, trust, conflict, and belonging. And whether we realize it or not, we carry those experiences into how we relate to others and ourselves.

And then there's everything happening within us. The part that wants to fix everything, the part that would rather avoid it all, and the part wondering why we can't just get our act together already. Being human is a lot sometimes. Rather than judging those responses, I love getting curious about where they came from, what they've helped us navigate, and what they might need now.

In therapy, I'm not just sitting quietly across from you nodding my head. I'm right there with you, asking questions, noticing patterns, sharing what I know, and probably finding a little humor in the wonderfully weird experience of being human. There's room for the complicated feelings, the messy relationships, and all the things you haven't quite figured out yet.

How we connect with the world around us and how we relate to the world within us. That's the heart of who I am as a human and as a therapist.

  • I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

    My clinical training includes:

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Institute Level 1 Training
    • EMDRIA-approved EMDR training
    • Attachment-focused and trauma-informed psychotherapy
    • Cognitive and behavioral approaches, including CBT

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I consider the bigger picture: your relationships, family, culture, community, and the experiences that have shaped you.

The therapy should fit the human—not the other way around.

A special place
for the helpers.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in emergency veterinary medicine, where I learned a whole lot about connection, attunement, and what it really means to care for others, especially when you're running on empty. I know firsthand that you can absolutely love what you do and still feel exhausted by what it asks of you. Sometimes, even the helper needs a little helping. And you deserve a space where you get to be the one cared for, even if you're afraid to ask for that.

And the helpers
who don’t clock out.

I'm a parent, too, so I know parenting can be beautiful, hilarious, exhausting, and overwhelming—sometimes all before breakfast. Together, we can get curious about the patterns and reactions that show up, make room for your needs (yes, yours too!), and find ways to reconnect when things get messy. Your kids don't need a perfect parent. They need a human one who's willing to keep learning and growing.

You can bring your whole human self.

Messy complicated feelings, weird thoughts, familiar patterns, and all the things you're still figuring out. There's room for it all as we get curious, grow, and find what works for you and what doesn't.
I'm a human, you're a human, lets sit together and figure out life.
